Why do we complain? What is Complaint? Do we complain too much, or about the wrong thing? Is complaining useful or a waste of time?

I am currently writing a book which addresses all these questions and more. It will be published in 2008 by Profile Books. I'm hoping it will be an original, thought-provoking look at a concept which has not been examined as closely as it deserves.
